Christmas Senior Adult Presentation

This year we want to do a Senior Adult Christmas musical – other churches are, so can we.  We will practice during the day.  Be listening for the first rehearsal towards the end of September.

Music News!

It’s time to think about Christmas even though it’s still summer time.  We plan to begin practice for Christmas the second last Wednesday of September, the 22nd.  Come and join in preparation to proclaim the coming of our Savior.

The Blackwood Gospel Quartet at First Baptist

The Blackwood name is legendary in the gospel music industry. The Blackwood Brothers Quartet was formed in 1934, based out of Choctaw County, MS.  The original Blackwood Brothers Quartet performed at churches, auditoriums, and other events through the years.  Mark Blackwood continues the tradition through the Blackwood Gospel Quartet.  Mark travelled with his dad, Cecil Blackwood, in the Blackwood Brothers Quartet for many years.  The Blackwood Quartet does not take its heritage in gospel music lightly nor the responsibility of integrity that goes with it.  This exciting musical group will be ministering at FBC Sunday evening, September 12 at 6:00 PM.  Invite your friends and neighbors for a great evening of Gospel Music. A free-will offering will be received for the ministry of the Blackwood Quartet.

Release Form for Media Recording

Written by Joseph Renken

Good Morning Everyone!

A webmaster's work is never done. lol

I have recently uploaded a 'Release Form for Media Recording' to the Calendars, Newsletters, and Refrigerator Reminders section.  Please fill one of these out so that when various pictures are taken of you and your family we have permission to post them on the website or other materials produced by the church.

Please download it here.

Webmaster Blog

Written by Joseph Renken

Hello everyone!

This blog will be functioning on some different levels.

  1. It will serve as a "test bed" for other blogs that will follow.  I would like for the leaders of each ministry to have their own blog to update members of the specific ministry...not to mention having the pastoral staff getting their own.
  2. It will let everyone know of various updates that I'm working on w/o sending a mass email and possibly running into spam alerts on your email servers.

For instance...I'm familiar with the "bug" of the Prayer Center Subscription not showing the box to input the security code.  The box is there...you just need to trust me in that if you click underneath the "E" of Enter it will show the cursor.
